Summary, Etc.
This study was conducted to obtain production and consumption trends of selected agricultural products in Region XI and present a 10-year prodution and consumption projection of the said products. This study utilized graphical, descriptive and simple regression method in the analysis of the time series data. In 1979-1988, there was an increased production trend of palay, corn, cassava and pineapple, while peanut showed a very slight decrease. The indices for the January to June seasons showed positive effect on the production of the crops under study. The consumption trends for all crops also showed increasing trends during the same period. The 10-year (1989-1990) production/consumption forecast showed that palay and cassava would have an increasing deficit in production; while corn, peanut and pineapple would have an increasing surplus production
