Summary, Etc.The biology and predatory capacity of Orius tantillus and Geocoris sp. near lividipennis were studied. These two predators showed promise in suppressing Thrips palmi. O. tantillus and G. sp. near lividipennis passed through five instars with a mean total development of 14.76 and 26.70 days, respectively. Fecundity was 123 eggs for O. tantillus and for G. sp. near lividipennis, 9-139 eggs. Hatchability of O. tantillus field collected eggs andeggs laid in the laboratory were 51 to 100% and 63.66%, respectively
