Study on the levels of substitution of animal manures for inorganic fertilizer on cabbage, squash and soybean
General Note
Munoz, Nueva Ecija: Central Luzon State University, 1986. pp. 2-8. -(Study 1)
Summary, Etc.
The efficiency of different animal manure in supplementing/substituting for inorganic fertilizer requirement of cabbage, squash and soybean planted at different planting distance, number of plant/hill under eight fertilizer treatments were determined. Treatment 3 (T3) - 25% recommended RF from carabao manure + 75% from inorganic fertilizer (IF); T2 - 75% RF from carabao manure + 25% IF and T5 - 75% RF from chicken manure + 25% IF produced the biggest heads (cabbage), heaviest fruit (squash) and most pods/plant (soybean), respectively. In terms of yield, T3 produced the highest computed yield per hectare (13.66 t) in cabbage while T6 - 25% RF from carabao manure + 75% IF in squash (3.39 t). In soybean, the highest yield (1.41 t/ha) was obtained from the application of 25% chicken manure and 75% IF
