Summary, Etc.The performance of two cooking banana (cardaba and saba) and dessert banana (Lakatan and Latundan) grown in a randomly planted coconut area were determined using the improved cultural management practices. Cardaba (15.23 kg) and Lakatan (4.53 kg) under the improved practices obtained higher yield in terms of average bunch weight than Saba (5.33 kg) and Latundan (4.02 kg) due to higher number of hands per bunch and bigger fingers per hand. These resulted to higher returns. Organic matter fertilization (chicken dung at 4 t/ha), under brushing every 45 days, male bud removal and corn weevil control improved the performance of the cooking and dessert banana as well as the coconut base crop
