The effect of administering varying dosages of oxytocin at the time of semen deposition in artificial insemination on reproductive performance was studied using 60 dairy cows and helfers which were randomly assigned to four treatment groups. Data were analyzed statistically using a completely randomized design. after the treatment means were compared using the duncan's Multiple Range Test, female cattle in treatment 3 (60 I.U. Oxytocin) showed the lowest number of services per concepcion, respectively> No significance difference in number of services per conception was obtained between Treatment 3 and 2 but highly significant differences (P < .01) were found between other Treatment 3 or 2 and Treatment 1 or 4. conception rates at first service for Treatments 1, 2, 3 and 4 were 33, 46, 60 and 33%, respectively
