$aThe study identified the socioeconomic and socio-psychological correlatess of abaca technology adoption and fiber yield. Two hundred fourteen abaca farmers were interviewed in three provinces of the Bicol region. The farmers had an average age of 54.23 years, an average household size of six, and an average educational attainment of eight years. The majority were owners with an average farm size of six hectares, an average annual fiber production of 280.37 kilograms per hectare, and an average annual income of 7075.47.
