Summary, Etc.Some 104 prawn operators from Ilocos, Southern Luzon, and Bicol region were interviewed. Six were engaged in monoculture of prawn, while the rest cultured combinations of milkfish-prawn (84), milkfish-prawn-crab (11), and prawn-crab (3). The socioeconomic conditions of the prawn farm operators were studied. The technology, production performance, capital and credit, and other input requirements of prawn farms were determined. Estimate costs and returns in prawn farming and demand for prawn fry were also discussed
