Summary, Etc.One-layered particleboards (10 mm thick) were made from kaatoan bangkal [Anthocephalus chinensis (Lam.)], tangile [Shorea polysperma (Blco.)] and white lauan [Pentatome contorta (Vid.)] to systematically investigate the effect of nine different types of fungicides in the manufacture of particleboards. Anti-fungi test showed tributyltin chloride and bis-tributyltin oxide at all levels (0.5, 1.0, and 1.5%) were more effective than other fungicides used. Other fungicides also found effective were: DG (product of a company in Japan); W-600 and W-700 of Shinto Paint Co., Ltd. Tangile and white lauan were generally better to resist fungal attack than kaatoan bangkal
