Summary, Etc.The study was conducted to determine the yield and other agronomic characteristics of watermelon as affected by organic and inorganic fertilization in Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur from January to March 1989. The application of 60-25-45 (Treatment T6) and 10t rice straw compost significantly gave the highest yield and number of marketable fruits over the rest of the treatments. The plants in all the treatments, except the control had good vigor and growth. Economic analysis showed that T5 obtained the highest MRR of 3563 followed by T4 (farmers level) and T6 with 2821 and 2542%, respectively
