Summary, Etc.This study was conducted to determine the effect of ipil-ipil leaves as organic fertilizer on the yield and agronomic characters of sorghum; to compare levels of ipil-ipil leaves with inorganic fertilizer; and to determine the net profit ratio derived from the use of ipil-ipil leaves. Seven treatments were tested in 1982-1983 dry and 1983 wet seasons as follows: T0 - control; T1 - 2.5 t ipil-ipil/ha; T2 - 5 t/ha ipil-ipil leaves; T3 - 60-60-60 kg NPK/ha; T4 - 90-90-90 kg NPK/ha; T5 - 2.5t ipil-ipil/ha + 15-15-15 NPK/ha; and T6 - 5 t ipil-ipil/ha + 30-30-30 NPK/ha. The yield of treated plots were higher than the control. Highest net return of P3,195.60, however, was obtained with 5 t/ha application of ipil-ipil leaves. However, plots treated with 60-60-60 NPK/ha gave the highest yield of 4.46 and 1.45 t/ha during the dry and wet season trials, respectively
