$aThe study was conducted in three regions of the Visayas. One thousand ninety respondents mostly rice farmers and 811, mostly corn farmers were interviewed for studies 1 and 2, respectively. Findings showed that agrarian reform brought about increased farm productivity. Farmers planted high yielding varieties, used machineries and applied fertilizers and insecticides. Percentage shares of farm income decreased for the landlords and increased for the hired laborers and farm operators. Total village earnings and income distribution improved after land reform.
