Summary, Etc.
Commercial production of hollow blocks using rice hull ash cement (RHAC) was fully adopted in Pototan, Iloilo. The hollow block factory named "Rock of Ages" by the adoptor Mr. Aristeo Dimavivas, produced 300-500 pieces of blocks per day depending on the order placed. Other adoptors of the RHAC technology were the Sta. Barbara FACOMA in Iloilo and Mrs. Zenobie Gregori of Jaro, Iloilo City. Mrs. Gregori started producing hollow blocks as soon as the Technology and Livelihood Resource Center released the project fund. On the other hand, the Sta. Barbara FACOMA started production after planting of palay for the dry season cropping
