Summary, Etc.Slatted and flattened sheared bamboo crates were designed and developed to determine the effects of repetitive loading and to identify possible improvements to prolong their service life and establish a package-to-products-cost ratio of three containers. Physical and performance evaluation showed that there was no significant effect on the performance of the crate when used in actual field service testing. Bamboo collapsible with bamboo framings were more durable and produced at a lower cost (28%)
