Summary, Etc.The new and rapidly developing branch of science - hydrodynamical weather forecasting - lies at the juncture of three disciplines: meteorology proper, hydrodynamics, and mathematical cocmputation. It is therefore natural that this branch should be of interest to mathematicians and to physicists alike. It has been necessary in this book to provide a detailed development of formulae for the flux of heat due to radiation which is not the usual procedure in a course of hydrodynamics. It has also been necessary to give a full account of approximate methods of solving certain differential formulae in partial derivatives as applied to electronic computers - a subject not previously dealt with in a course of meteorology, etc
