Ceramic Plaster was produced out of crude synthetic gypsum (a by-product in the manufacturer or phosphoric acid) which was treated with 8% concentrated sulfuric acid (based on the day weight sample). Three percent pure calcium sulfate hemihydrate was added as a starter and the acidified slurry was added as a starter and the acidified slurry was subjected to a pressure of 16.25 psi in an autoclave for 2 hours. The steam treated slurry was allowed to cool washed until acid free, then dried at 105 degree-130 degree celsius for 12 hours or at 160-200 degree celsius for 3 hours. The dried product was then pulverized to 200 mesh and tested.
