General Note
Diliman, Quezon City: UPS, CF, 1974. pp. 2-17. -(PCAR Proj. No. 5; Part 1)
Summary, Etc.
A survey was conducted in 24 schools of fisheries located throughout the country to establish baseline data on the practice of squid line fishing and on several aspects of fishery such as fishing season, gear, boat and problems of the fishery. Findings revealed that squid line fishing was continuous throughout the year shifting from one area to another with peak fishing activity from April to August. Squid line fishing which was considered to be mainly sustenance fishing was operated along the coastal waters with the use of boats of less than three gross tons equipped with two or four hardlines. Fishing, being limited to coastal operation, left the deeper areas unexplored
