Summary, Etc.The study determined the extent of subsurface drainage problem and monitored the groundwater and soil moisture variations from selected problem areas. Surface drainage problems in the project area were observed as more severe than the subsurface problems. Swampy areas were used as regular communal fishing ground and no control in fishing was observed. The bogged areas were filled with water hyacinths that could be useful as compost and/or for biogas production when harvested
