Summary, Etc.Women's participation in the various stages of the Philippine EIA is not maximized and there is considerable room for enhancement. The constraints to a limited participation of women in the EIA process are the lack of specific provisions in EIA's legal milieu; the lack of established women's organizations; the lack of gender experts that can really tackle and enhance women's involvement; and the lack of gender sensitivity in the EIA participants, in general. To enhance the involvement of women's participation in the EIA process, changes such as formation of working women's groups should be supported and further training of gender experts and sociologists to add to the current pool of consultants for EIA-related tasks
