Title StatementThe influence of site factors and planting techniques on the establishment of mangrove plantation
General NoteCollege, Laguna: FORI, 1982. 20p. -(PCARR Proj. No. 380; Study 4)
Summary, Etc.Avicennia officinales Linn. (api-api) wildlings were potted for ten, eight, six and four months and planted in the field at four spacing techniques (2 x 2 m, 3 x 3 m, 3 x 4 m and 4 x4 m) in two different sites (site affected by tide water and site unaffected by tide water). This study determined the influence of site factors and planting techniques on the establishment of mangrove plantation. Tide-affected sites and spacing technique of 3 x 3 m significantly influenced the survival and height growth of api-api wildlings. Site, spacing and potting however, did not significantly affect the diameter growth of api-api wildlings
