Summary, Etc.Culture of Mesopristes cancellatus (pigek) in net cages was conducted at the Esteros River in Cotabato City from November 1982 to September 1983 using the floating pen type cage made of bamboo poles and multifilament nylon measuring 5 m x 5 m x 5 m. In the first experiment (A), 100 pigek juveniles with an average weight of 76.75 g and 17 cm long were stocked and fed twice a day with mixed fish flesh, instestine and earthworm. In the second experiment (B), 200 pigek juveniles with an average weight of 65 g and 17.5 cm long were fed with mixed rice bran and cassava. Fish fed with rice bran and cassava mixed at 1:1 ratio, had a high average daily growth increment of 1.1 g and 0.08 cm. From an initial biomass of 7.68 kg, the final total production after 194 culture days was 22.17 kg. Fish stock fed with ground and mixed fish flesh and intestine plus earthworm (1:1:1) had a low average daily growth increment of 0.8 g and 0.04 cm. Final total production after 84 days was 30.89 kg from an initial biomass stock of 13.0 kg. Survival rate was 96% for Experiment A and 99% for Experiment B
