Summary, Etc.Some 33 areas in seven regions were purposively selected in this study with a total of 93 key informants and 633 respondents interviewed. The primary data were analyzed using simple descriptive statistics such as total frequencies, ranges, averages, and percentages. One of the effects of TLA cancellation was the displacement of workers. Directly affected were unskilled workers who were left behind because of lack of alternative opportunities for them outside the TLA areas. Upland farming increased, and individual landholdings increased in the form of upland farms. However, real income decreased by 31%
