Summary, Etc.The study was conducted to collect and study the genetic resources of Philippine grasses, to support the cereal and forage improvement program and for a more effective management scheme for the country's grassland ecosystems. This involves collection, cytological, hybridization and morphological studies including identification of genetic dynamics of Philippine grasses. A total of 266 accessions which included 24 genera of grasses comprises the germplasm collection. Several accessions of Pennisetum, Echinochloa (colona and crusgalli), Panicum and Paspalum were evaluated morphologically and agronomically. No distinct differences were observed among the accessions in each genus studied
