Two trials were conducted using papaya seeds infusion and whole papaya seeds as dewormer in native chicken. For papaya seeds infusion, two dosages (1/2and 1/4 tsp.) were given orally to native chicken naturally infected with gastro-intestinal parasites. In both dosages, there were still parasites present two weeks after application. In trial 2, different dosages of papaya whole seeds (50, 40, and 30 seeds) were also given orally to infected chickens. Those given 50 seeds tested negative for ova and adult parasites two weeks after application. While those treated with 40 and 30 seeds were still positive for ova and adult parasites two weeks after application.There were no significant difference in terms of weight gain in all the treatments between the treated and the untreated groups
