Summary, Etc.This manual presented the results of the four agroforestry schemes tested in Leyte, namely: alley cropping (AC), sloping agricultural land technology (SALT); taungya; and multi storey cropping. These were evaluated under the following criteria: a) degree of soil erosion; b) soil fertility;c) crop production yield; farmers' acceptability; and economic production. In two years, the highest average soil erosion rate was observed in alleycropping scheme with -3.91 cm of soil loss followed by SALT with -3.56 cm. The cause of this soil loss was intense soil cultivation. Soil loss was lowest in multi-storey cropping scheme with -2.88 cm, probably caused by the existing thick vegetation in the area
