Different varieties of vegetables including soybean, sitao, cucurbits, tomato, celery, edible rape, dill, crucifers and other crops were tested for their reactions againts Meloidogyne incognita. Soybean exhibited a high degree of resistance except for Improved Pelican, I-87, T-2 and a Taiwan variety. Pole, bush sitao and cowpea followed a similar reaction pattern. Radish varieties, edible rape and Early Scarlet Globe were slightly susceptible, while celery, dill, Sweet Banana variety of pepper, bush lima bean, Swiss Chard, tree tomato, and Full Heart Batavia (endive) showed moderate to high susceptibility. Cucurbits were highly resistant except for some cucumbers which showed moderately susceptible reactions. Tomato varieties Cal-Mart (VFN) and VFN-bush were very resistant to the nematode
