Summary, Etc.Field screening of peanut varieties and/or lines for resistance to leaf spot and leaf rust diseases was conducted at the Central Experiment Station, College, Laguna from January 13 to May 28, 1992. A total of 44 entries from ICRISAT and two local varieties were included in the study. Varieties and/or lines that showed resistance to the two foliar diseases were identified. Entries number 799 and UPL Pn-2 were rated susceptible to leaf rust diseases. Other entries were either resistant and moderately susceptible. For Cercospora leaf spot only few entries were rated moderately resistant. Others were rated resistant. Other diseases occurred during the study were also noted
