Summary, Etc.Three flavones, namely salvigenin, cirsimaritin and chrysoeriol were isolated from the chloroform extract of the air-dried leaves of C. amboinicus. The structures of the flavones were elucidated by 1D and 2D NMR and UV spectroscopy. Antimicrobial tests on salvigenin and cirsimaritin showed low antimicrobial activities against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Bacillus subtilis, Esherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Candida albicans, Tricophyton mentagrophytes and Aspergillus niger
