Summary, Etc.Fifteen goats randomly alloted into three groups were used in the study. The goats in Treatments I and II were given rice straw supplemented with concentrates having 20% and 24% crude protein, respectively. In Treatment III, goats were given napier grass and 24% crude protein concentrate. Findings showed that there was no significant difference on the weights of goats during the first and second months. However, during the third and fourth months, goats fed with rice straw were comparatively lighter than goats fed with napier grass. Final weights were also significantly different among treatments (9.60 and 8.98 kg for Treatments I and II vs. 13.54 kg for Treatment III). Rice straw, supplemented with either 20 or 24% crude protein concentrate given at 2% of the animal's body weight was found capable of supporting body gains of 13.16 and 16.24 g/day. No significant difference was noted on the total gain of goats between treatments. Feed intake was highest for goats in treatment III (20.01 kg) compared to those in Treatments I and II (7.99 and 8.30 kg, respectively)
