RESEARCH DESIGN: This is a Descriptive study concerning the knowledge, attitude, and practices of 4th year high school students of Benigno Aquino Jr. High School in Bagong Silang, Caloocan City.OBJECTIVE: To determine the knowledge, attitude, and practices of 4th year high school students of Benigno Aquino Jr. High School regarding the cervical cancer vaccines available in the Philippines in the year 2010-2011. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Data collection was done on a one-on-one interview basis, and Stratified Random Sampling method in a form of unrestricted type of questionnaire was used. There were 170 fourth year students included in the study and T-test type of statistical testing was used, where most of the respondents were from age 16 that comprises 44.1 % of the subject population.RESULTS: The results of the study showed that most of the respondents were Roman Catholics (74.6%), while most of the respondent's families (43%) were from the 6,000 Php gross monthly income. Almost 50 percent of the respondents were aware that cervical cancer is caused by bacteria and 72.9 percent of these 17 respondents knew that it could be transmitted through sexual contact. The result of the study also showed that 15 respondents (8.8%) has/had relatives that are positive for cervical cancer and when it comes to the relation of the respondents who answered that they have a relative who has/had a history of cervical cancer, aunts (28.6%) tied up with grandmother who also came up with the same percentage.In relation to the availability of cervical cancer vaccine, 92.4% of the respondents knew that it is available in the Philippines and majority of the respondents 74.1 % heard it from the media (tv, radio,newspaper,magazine,etc .).CONCLUSION: Of the 172 respondents, only 17 have been vaccinated and of these, 17 vaccinated respondents, only 29% have completed the entire 3 day schedule or 2.9% of the total number of respondents. With this in prospect the respondents have 2.5% risk of having cervical cancer and 1.8% risk of dying from it, higher than the present morbidity/mortality
