Summary, Etc.Molded pulp containers were developed from the pulp slurry of old newspapers, paper trimmings and kraft paper. Sizing material was added to the slurry to minimize the rapid absorption of moisture. For molding, dies were made from wood and ordinary chicken netted wire and mosquito screen wire. Chicken wire was made into the desired shape covered with mosquito screen wire nailed to wooden frames. Pulp slurry containing 20% kraft and 80% waste paper produced molded pulp trays of acceptable properties. Deep and shallow trays were formed according to the shape of the fruits. Fabricated molded pulp trays for mango could accomodate eight pieces of mango while fabricated bowl-shaped trays for strawberry could contain a maximum of 300 g of fruits
