The postharvest behavior of six potato varieties stored at 5 deg C two weeks after curing were studied. The six varieties of potatoes were: Isola (German); Desiree (Dutch); Coliban (Australian); PPC (Philippine Packing Corporation selection from Taiwan); TA-4 (IPB, UPLB selection from Tuberosum andegena of Canada); and S-365-11 (Cornell University clone with Tuberosum andegena gene). Greening of tubers from Lipa (lower elevation) and La Trinidad (higher elevation) were varied. Average rotting of tubers from lower elevation was generally lower than those grown in the higher elevation. Sprouting was not affected by either variety or location. After six months of storage at 5 deg C, all tubers were shrivelled and lost weight moderately
