Summary, Etc.The study was conducted in two locations to produce genetically variable cotton population for selection by crossing desirable parental types and systematically handle segregating generations. In Cotton Research Development Institute, Batac, Ilocos Norte, 14 F4 lines, 49 F3, and 51 F3 plants of the single backcross population were selected. From the Institute of Plant Breeding crosses, 51 F4 and 2 F5 plants, and one line each of F6 and F7 generations were selected in San Juan, Ilocos Sur, while 5 F4, 2 F5, and 3 F7 lines were selected in Polomolok, South Cotabato
