Summary, Etc.The feeding value of ipil-ipil leaves using two matured male cattle was determined. Ipil-ipil leaves had an average coefficient of apparent digestibility (COD) of 68% gross energy, 68% dry matter (DM), 50% crude fiber (CF), 77% nitrogen free extract (NFE), 76% crude protein (CP), 51% ether extract (EE) and 35% Ca. The average total digestible nutrients (TDN) was 22.3% consisting of 3.48% DCF, 4.17% DCP, 12.49% DNFE and 0.93% DEE. Average digestible dry matter was 22.17%. The average digestible energy (DE) was 974 fecal/kg. Average in vitro dry matter digestibility (IVDMD) and in vivo dry matter digestibility were 60.28 and 67.69%, respectively. The young leaves (shoots) had slightly lower IVDMD (58.74%) than the matured leaves (61.82%)
