$aIn the past few years, the outbreak of mosquito borne diseases has become a perennial problem on our country. Due to this f act, the Department of Health is now implementing different measures. Such measures are fumigation and the application of chemicals that are hazardous to the environment. These occurrence gave us the idea to engage on a study that could be useful in fighting against mosquitoes particularly Aedes aegypti, a carrier of dengue fever virus. The study dealt on the effects of visible radiation on the life cycle of aedes aegypti. this enables us to know if light or visible radiation can be used to alter the life cycle of the said specie of mosquito. In the experiment, a light-radiation box covered with wire net was made. It was divided into three columns leaving two columns exposed to different intensities of light. Aedes aegypti larvae were equally distributed in each column.
