Title Statement
Feed restriction in broiler chickens Its influence on growth and the development of enzymes for protein digestioni by Josefina P. Susbilla

Summary, Etc.
In this study, various levels and methods of feed restriction were tried on broiler chickens. The basic information on the effects of feed restriction on growth and body composition was established. The results of the experiment using TM 70 broilers using up to a 50% level of restriction showed catch-up growth at market age and increased weight of the digestive tract but no consistent effect in the two trials conducted on the deposition of abdominal fat. The resultant increase in weight of the digestive tract led to a series of experiments being carried out in order to determine the influence of feed restriction applied in different ways on the development of the digestive organs and enzymes involved in protein digestion in the proventriculus, pancreas and small intestine
