Summary, Etc.The study was conducted in four cotton-growing areas with different soil and climatic condition to improve the existing recommendations of plant diversity and fertilizer levels for optimum cotton productivity. The sites selected were Batac, Ilocos Norte, Piat, Cagayan, Makar, General Santos and Puerto Princesa, Palawan. Plant density and the fertilizer level varied across locations. It ranged from 26,666 to 66,666 plants/ha with a fertilizer level of 0-120 kg N/ha for the first year and 0-200 kg N/ha for the third year. In Batac, hill spacing of 10-40 cm between hills and 75 cm between rows did not affect seed cotton yield for three cropping seasons while fertilizer application significantly affected seed cotton yield. Higher seed cotton yield was obtained from the application of 150-200 kg N/ha. Likewise, the seed cotton yield was not affected by different plant densities and/or planting spaces in Piat. However, the application of 81-35-35 kg N-P2O5-K2O/ha significantly increased seed cotton yield for two cropping seasons. In Makar and Puerto Princesa City, the results were adversely affected by low precipitation during the growing period of the cotton plant
