$aHandmade boards in singly and different blends from sludge, repupled waste-based newspaper and used kraftboard materials had better strength properties than the commercial egg packaging tray used as reference. A blend of 30% sludge, 20% newspaper and 50% kraftboard exhibited the highest strength properties in terms of tensile strength, folding endurance, burst index and tear index which indicated the potential of the recycled materials for egg tray. The molded Christmas decors and novelty items from various formulations from waste material were without defects, cracks and no breakage when fell at 6 ft elevation. Finishing touches like painting, putting of laces, ribbons and glitters made them attractive as Christmas and novelty decor for export.
