The study aimed to: describe the end-users/clientele of agricultural machines, describe determining factors for acceptance of various kinds of agricultural machines, and find out their perception of farm mechanization and their attitude towards the use of certain farm equipment. Two other objectives were: to describe the process of use/acceptance of farm equipment, and to determine the effect of mechanization on social relationships among members of the family and others in the community with whom they interact. End-users were generally well-off and well informed of the existing machines through the National Food Authority personnel, from UPLB faculty who went to the field, and through inquiries sent to UPLB, or through the inventor himself. Some units were brought to the field for testing or use on the farm, free of charge. Respondents assessed farm mechanization as acceptable because of the ralative ease and speed of doing farm work/activities. However, there was always the consideration made on fuel costs. They preferred cheaper alternatives to the use of machines, because of high cost of fuel. There were no changes on social relationships brought about by the use of the machines
