Summary, Etc.This study aimed to evaluate the performance of containers during the actual field service testing and to obtain a cost benefit analysis of their use. Three types of containers (veneer, bamboo slats with wood framings and corrugated fiberboard) for mangoes of 20-30 kg load capacities were developed/improved based on the existing ones. They were evaluated in terms of yield recovery and degree of ripeness of their contents. Results showed that types of containers had no significant effect on the amount of weight loss in fruits. However, fruits transported in the "control" container obtained the highest amount of damage (40%)
