Summary, Etc.The study determined the proper stocking density of common carp that could control aquatic weeds in ponds. Twelve ponds measuring 500 sq m each were stocked with common carps at three stocking densities: 100 carps/ha, 200 carps/ha and 300 carps/ha. None of the three stocking densities tested totally controlled weeds in ponds. It was suggested that another study be conducted using higher stocking densities of common carps to come up with the appropriate stocking density that could control aquatic weeds in ponds
