Summary, Etc.This research aimed at restoring the productivity of the agricultural lands in the Mt. Pinatubo affected areas through appropriate soil and crop management package. During the six-year-period of Research and Development, 38 studies were conducted at three provinces with lahar depths ranging from 30 cm to 2 m. Twelve studies were on legumes, six on vegetables, one on oil crop, two on forage, eight on rice, three on farm resources and two on socio-economics. Sixteen crop production technologies (peanut, onion, cabbage, cowpea, eggplant, okra, sorghum, rice, squash, sweet potato, radish, sunflower, sesame, soybeans and corn) were developed and verified. It is worth mentioning that the program objectives were achieved and accomplished by the Mt. Pinatubo Rand D team. Eleven crop production technologies were translated in Filipino and distributed to the farmers. A book entitled "Crop Production Technologies in Lahar-Laden Soil" was published. Technical expert services, trainings and farm visits were provided and conducted, respectively, to achieve and improve crop production in lahar areas
