Ovigerous worms were recovered from the small intestines of C. macrocephalus previously fed with small pieces of mantle and /or foot muscles of infected L. viriditis with metacercariae of O. batrachoides. Histochemical tests showed the presence of tyrosine-rich vitelline cells and that the egg-shell is scleroprotien. Out of fifty snails exposed to single embryonated egg, only seven or 14% were positive for the infection. The number of sporocysts and cercariae produced from each of seven infected snails was 1,120 to 1,707 and11,203 to 22,977 respectively. The number of cercariae produced per sporocyst was 10 to 15. An average length of cercarial shedding period was 61.4 days.
