The starch-based adhesives were prepared based on the modified Stein-Hall method. Commercial phenol formaldehyde (PF) resin glue at different levels was used as fortifier to improve bond strength. The bond quality of starch-based adhesives and commercial plywood glues was compared and evaluated using PHILSA standards for plywood
